Highlander Hybrid Battery

Unlike the Toyota Prius and Camry the Highlander Hybrid battery is located under a row of seats at the middle of the vehicle. To access the hybrid battery there is additional tear down time required including testing for the battery smart unit and SMR 1, SMR 2 and SMR 3. We offer testing for the entirety of your hybrid system.

Highlander Hybrid Warning Light

Your hybrid system extends beyond your hybrid battery to include your inverter, dc to dc converter, high voltage AC compressor and HV ECU. All hybrid components are connected via a 12 volt communication network and a failure in one hybrid component can cause a hybrid system failure resulting in your vehicle defaulting to limp mode.
