Auto Electrical Repair
From the battery and lights, to the starter and alternator, the electrical system of modern cars is quite complex. You vehicle continuously monitors electrical circuits to ensure every component is operating within the range intended. Any faults or variances outside the operating parameters could be logged by the system and illuminate a warning light. This light will display to advise you that something is not operating correctly. Automotive electrical repair can be time consuming if the fault is a chafed wire or internal short of a component however our team is ASE certified and we specialize in electrical repair.
Module Replacement and Module Programming
The first step is to ensure that the communication network that your vehicle uses is functioning and that there are no drains on the network that may cause communication faults. Common communication faults are listed as U-Codes and are an indication that there is a modular failure.
Parasitic Draw Testing
If your vehicle's battery is dying frequently you may have a parasitic draw that is draining your vehicle's battery. Parasitic drains on a battery can be due to a module or component that is not turning off per specification and pulling current overnight. We recommend leaving the vehicle for 1 day minimum to allow for proper electrical testing.
Blown Fuse
If you're vehicle is blowing a fuse it is an indication of a short in the system. An excessive amount of current will burn a fuse until the circuit, connector and components or consumers and tested to ensure that the correct resistance is on the circuit at all times.
No Start Concern
When diagnosing a no start condition whether it's a crank no start or a no crank no start we start with the fundamentals including testing the battery and starter including the starter relay and scanning the vehicle for any immobilizer faults. Further testing may include testing the fuel pump and fuel delivery system for command and/or delivery failures, testing the ignition system, testing the network for any communication faults and then testing for any engine mechanical faults including timing faults and/or loss of compression. If your vehicle is currently experiencing a no start condition give us a call today to schedule an inspection.
A/C Electrical Repair
Modern automotive air conditioning systems rely on a series on inputs which require electrical integrity from the main battery, auxiliary battery if equipped, wiring, modules and sensors. An A/C compressor may not engage if sensor thresholds are not met even if the vehicle has the correct amount of refrigerant. Our first step when testing an air conditioning system for electrical faults is a full module scan and live data analysis. If your vehicle's A/C system is experiencing an electrical fault give us a call today to schedule an inspection.
